Matt Moore is the latest artist to design a print for the Ray-Ban Rare Prints Special Series Collection. Matt designed three colorful Wayfarers, which are available only at Sunglass Hut! To support the Rare Prints collection, as well as Sunglass Hut’s exclusive Matt W. Moore designs, Sunglass Hut held an event April 1 where Matt painted an oversize canvas in front of the Herald Square store in New York. Matt spent nine hours painting the canvas, and he interacted with nearby pedestrians who stopped to watch the work in progress and take pictures. Onlookers were invited to explore the store, enjoy an early evening snack and listen to music by DJ Jesse Marco. To promote the event and the exclusive Matt W. Moore Rare Prints style, three key New York stores (Herald Square, SoHo , and Times Square Marriott ) featured large barricade signage that echoed Matt’s colorful designs. Matt W Moore is the founder of MWM Graphics, a design and illustration studio based in Portland, Maine. He works across several disciplines, from colorful digital illustrations in his signature “Vectorfunk” style, to freeform watercolor paintings and massive aerosol murals.

I got an oil change then when I got home I noticed there was smoke coming up from under the hood. I checked under the hood but can’t tell where the smoke is coming from. My brother said they probably just spilled some oil and it’s burning off. But this has never happened to me after an oil change. Could it really be just some spilled oil or could they have messed something up?

I got a 4RUNNER 04 and it’s 19900 miles. I had my last oil changed 1/24/07. Supposedly, I’m due for an oil change on 21,000 miles. I rarely use my vehichle coz I live close to my work which is just 200 meters away. I drive it on my trips for shopping or weekend activities.

I had a $10 off coupon at a Valvoline instant oil change figured I might as well use it. I had a full service oil change done with full synthetic oil (synpower 5W30) almost 5 quarts used. The total came up to $63.84 in Massachusetts. Is that normal for a full service oil change with full synthetic oil, I know thats top of the line oil but it just seems high. (Its a 97 awd eclipse gsx with 73k miles on it so trying to keep it in good condition)

Looking at the receipt, it says $37 for parts and $25 for labor. So what are people being charged for labor and parts when their oil change is only $20 bucks? Is Valvoline just expensive? The labor was higher because it was full service? Thanks.

I dont think I was necessarily cheated but I’m just not going to keep paying that kind of money for an oil change.

He performs several songs, both on piano & guitar, including his hit, “Cement Mixer” (Put-Ti-Put-Ti) “Slim” Gaillard (1916-1991) was an American jazz singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist, noted for his vocalese singing and word play in a language he called “Vout”. He first rose to prominence in the late 1930s as part of Slim & Slam, a jazz novelty act he formed with bassist Slam Stewart. Their hits included “Flat Foot Floogie (with a Floy Floy)”, “Cement Mixer (Puti Puti)” and the hipster anthem, “The Groove Juice Special (Opera in Vout)”. The duo performed in the 1941 movie Hellzapoppin’. In the late forties and early fifties, Gaillard frequently opened at Birdland for such greats as Charlie Parker, Flip Phillips, and Coleman Hawkins. Gaillard could play several instruments, and always managed to turn the performance from hip jazz to comedy: he would play the guitar with his left hand fretting from the top of the neck, or would play credible piano solos with his palms facing up, both of which you’ll see in this clip.
